Are your extracts and blends organic?
Our medicinal mushroom extracts Reishi, Chaga, Cordyceps, Lion's Mane, Tremella and Turkey Tail are certified organic and we use certified organic ingredients in our blends with the exception of Australian native bush foods, Kakadu Plum, and Davidson Plum which aren't certified but are harvested using organic harvesting methods.
I’m allergic to mushrooms. Can I consume your mushroom extracts or blends?
Those allergic to mushrooms should not consume our medicinal mushroom extracts or blends.

How do I take your mushroom extracts?
Begin with ¼ to ½ teaspoon stirred or blended into coffee, tea, smoothies, juice, or meals. To explore our favourite recipes visit our
journal. To keep your medicinal mushrooms fresh always be sure to use a clean, dry spoon.
How do I store my mushrooms?
Our top tips to ensure the longevity of your mushrooms:
- Store in a cool, dry place away from any moisture.
- Use a clean, dry spoon.
- Keep the absorbent sachet in the pouch.
- Reseal the pouch fully pushing out any excess air.
Medicinal mushrooms can begin to harden if exposed to excess moisture or air. If you find this is the case, your mushrooms are still fit to enjoy, just dissolve in warm water first.
Are your mushrooms psychoactive?
Our range contains only functional, medicinal mushrooms, not the magic kind. No psychedelic journeys here.
What is a dual extract?
Dual extraction refers to a combination of water and in our case organic alcohol extraction. Alcohol is used to draw out the fat-soluble compounds in the mushrooms, the adaptogenic terpenoids. Hot water is used to extract the water-soluble compounds, the polysaccharides, and the immunomodulating beta-D-glucans.
What does the ratio of extraction mean?
20:1 means 20 kg of mushroom creates 1 kg of extract powder.
Are your products clean? Do you test for heavy metals?
We're passionate about delivering superior quality medicinal mushroom extracts. We test our extracts for toxins, pesticides, heavy metals, and microbials. Our extracts are first tested by our suppliers and then tested for a second time by us here in Australia.
Are your extracts organic?
Yes, we source our extracts from farms that are certified organic within the USDA Organic Certification Program. Our farmers are subject to stringent audits to ensure their mushrooms and farms don't contain any contaminants, pesticides, or heavy metals.
Our medicinal mushroom extracts are both organic and Di Tao.
What is Di Tao?
Di Tao is the traditional Daoist practice of tonic herbs being sourced from their spiritual homeland or authentic place of origin. Our Inner Atlas medicinal mushroom extracts are sourced from pristine and remote Di Tao growing regions, where the individual mushrooms have been traditionally grown and are considered to produce the most potent mushrooms of that particular type.
Our medicinal mushrooms are both Di Tao and organic.
What is duanwood?
Duanwood means ‘original wood’. Our semi-wild cultivated mushrooms are grown on the wood they would naturally grow on in the wild. Mushrooms are a product of their environment and draw minerals from their growth substrate. Wood-grown mushrooms result in higher levels of active compounds.
How do I know your medicinal mushrooms contain active compounds?
We use Megazyme testing to confirm
beta-D-glucans of greater than 30% across each of our medicinal mushroom extracts which exceeds many medicinal mushroom products you may find on the market.
We work closely with our farmers and take every possible step to ensure we’re delivering the highest quality mushroom extracts possible.
Inner Atlas Medicinal Mushroom Extracts are:
- Fruiting body only and guaranteed 100% real mushrooms. Some medicinal mushrooms on the market are diluted by being ground up with the rice or grain they’re grown on.
- Di Tao.
- Semi-wild cultivated - Grown amongst natural environmental conditions and on the natural wood and trees each mushroom would grow on in the wild as opposed to rice or grain, resulting in a more potent product.
- Independently tested in Australia.
Blends
How do I use your Blends?
Our adaptogenic blends are best enjoyed with 2 heaped teaspoons stirred into 200 ml of a warmed milk of choice - we love coconut milk. We have crafted our blends without sweetener to give you the option to sweeten or not. To indulge a little our blends are delicious with coconut sugar, or maple syrup.
Our adaptogenic blends can also be added to smoothies, shakes, breakfast bowls, yoghurt, or baked into treats.

Do you add flavouring to your Blends?
No. Our adaptogenic blends are 100% natural and flavoured with the spices and raw ingredients used in the recipe.
Help! My blend is clumpy when I stir it into warm milk.
We don’t use any emulsifying ingredients or synthetic fillers to change the texture of our blends. We’re 100% natural and this can sometimes mean our blends need a little more care when blending with milk.
Here are some things you can try:
Add 200 ml of milk and 2 heaped teaspoons of your blend to a small saucepan on the stove. Stir gently to combine on a low heat for 2 – 3 minutes.
Or
Combine 200 ml of gently warmed milk and 2 heaped teaspoons of your Inner Atlas blend in an electric blender or NutriBullet. Blend for 5 - 10 seconds.
